M City
M1 is part of an ongoing multi-tower, multi-year development known as M City.
The distinctive zigzag shape of the building – some people say it looks like a stacked accordion – has made a noticeable change to the skyline of Mississauga.
M1 and its sister zigzag tower M2 were the first towers in the M City master plan to be completed by developers Rogers Real Estate Development Ltd. and Urban Capital Property Group of Toronto.
The unusual shape of the two buildings has garnered a lot of attention.
M1 and M2 won the 2024 Award of Excellence from the Chicago-based Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH). The CTBUH is the world’s leading authority on skyscrapers and urban centres, and every year it celebrates outstanding new contributions to the world of architecture. M1 and M2 were winners in the 200-299m height category.
So far, completed towers in the M City development include:
- 3900 Confederation Pkwy – M1 Condos
- 3883 Quartz Road – M2 Condos
There are also presently three more towers under construction, known as M3, M4, and M5, with another three planned for the future.
M1 Condominium is 60 storeys tall, and the municipal address is 3900 Confederation Pkwy, Mississauga, ON L5B 0M3.
Nearest major intersection to M1 is Burnhamthorpe Rd W and Confederation Pkwy.
