Port Credit Memorial Park is a public park in Mississauga, Ontario. It is located on the east side of the Port Credit Harbour where the Credit River flows into Lake Ontario. This park is a favourite spot for families, and is the site of many local festivals and events.

Port Credit Memorial Park was originally marshland that was part of a First Nations settlement. This was the central hub of the original trading post that was eventually named Port Credit. Eventually the area was purchased from the First Nations peoples, and was gradually developed.
Today, it’s a great location where visitors can take advantage of spectacular views of the Credit River, the marina, and Lake Ontario.
The park is approximately 16.4 acres, and it features a number of paved walking trails that encircle an open green area.

Port Credit Arena

Where is Port Credit Memorial Park?
As shown in the map above, Port Credit Memorial Park is located in the heart of Port Credit. It’s about a half hour drive from downtown Toronto.
The correct municipal address for Port Credit Memorial Park is 32 Stavebank Road North, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada L5G 2T5. The official entrance to the park is at its eastern edge, running off of Stavebank Rd.
This waterfront park is located directly in the heart of the central commercial strip of Port Credit, and it occupies a space roughly between Stavebank Road and the Credit River.
Directly to the west of the park is the massive Brightwater development, currently under construction. When that master-planned community welcomes its first residents, it will no doubt add to the park’s visitor numbers.
The nearest main intersection is Lakeshore Road W. and Mississauga Road South.
The park is easily reachable by car, and by public transit. There are plenty of buses that run along Lakeshore Road W., and the Port Credit GO station is about a 15 minute walk away.
The new Hurontario LRT, when it opens in 2024, will provide additional connections to the Square One area, as well as continuing service northwards to Brampton.

The park is one of about 500 parks administered by the City of Mississauga. It is open year round, although the best times to visit are definitely in the spring, summer, and fall.
As with all parks in Mississauga, there is no fee for admission.

Free Parking
There is a large free parking lot at the southern edge of the park, shared with the Port Credit Library. The sports arena also has outdoor parking. Finally, there is also limited free and metered parking space along many of the nearby residential streets on the eastern side of the park.
There are no public washrooms in the park, although you will find them at the nearby library, and at the Port Credit Arena.
Port Credit Memorial is pet-friendly! Dogs on a leash are permitted in the park.
