15 Elizabeth Condos

The 15 Elizabeth condos are a small legacy building located at 15 Elizabeth Street North in Port Credit, Mississauga. This is one of the original condos in the city, and it was completed in 1973.

Condo apartments in this building tend to be larger than many newer condos, and you will find only four units on most floors. There are only two and three bedroom apartments here, and unit sizes range from about 900 square feet to 1200 square feet. Every suite has a large, open balcony, and some have two.

NOTE: heat in the condo is provided by radiant heat, i.e. radiators. There is no central air conditioning at 15 Elizabeth Street North. AC is supplied via window air conditioners.

Port Credit is one of the original small towns that amalgamated to form the City of Mississauga. It has vigorously preserved its small town character, and is a popular destination for both visitors and residents.

There are dozens of restaurants in the area, primarily along Lakeshore Road, plus pubs, art galleries, and small independent shops.

The 15 Elizabeth Condo is situated on Elizabeth Street north of Lakeshore Road W, roughly midway between Hurontario St. and Stavebank Road. Municipal address is 15 Elizabeth Street North, Mississauga, ON L5G 2Z3.

Port Credit has a lot of attractions, but undoubtedly the main one is Port Credit Harbour, with its famous lighthouse. Here is where the Credit River drains into Lake Ontario, and there are extensive harbour and marina facilities.

The harbour and marina are only a few short blocks from the condo.

Speaking of the harbour, in warmer months, you will find an impressive lineup of watercraft there, including many luxury yachts.

And indeed, the Port Credit Yacht Club is a prominent business at the marina.

While there are no massive shopping malls in Port Credit, there is no shortage of retail.

In addition, there is more on the way including the multi-year and multi-faceted Brightwater Development, currently under construction. Brightwater Mississauga will feature residential, office, commercial, and transit facilities.

Apart from all the shopping possibilities, there is a lot of additional attractions in the Port Credit area.

  • Port Credit GO Station and future LRT terminus

15 Elizabeth Street North is also a 4 minute walk to the Port Credit GO station, and the Queen Elizabeth Highway (QEW) is less than a five minute drive via Hurontario St.

There are several grocery stores in the immediate area, including a Rabba Fine Foods at 92 Lakeshore Rd. E., and a Loblaws, located at the Credit Landing Shopping Centre at 250 Lakeshore Rd. W.

In addition, both Catholic and public high schools are available nearby: Iona Catholic Secondary School, and Port Credit Public Secondary School.

The park is also attached to Port Credit Memorial Arena, which offers free ice skating in the cooler months.

J.C. Saddington Park, where you can enjoy a looped path system, picnic areas and a playground. This large green space was built on a former landfill. There are also heritage buildings and an informal amphitheatre.

Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens, which is on the south side of Lakeshore Road W., is a 5 minute drive away.

This beautiful city park becomes a riot of colour every spring, when the extensive rhododendron and azalea gardens bloom.

It also has winding walkways that lead to a small beach, a forested area, and open green spaces that are perfect for a picnic.

In conclusion, the Elizabeth Condominium at 15 Elizabeth Street North Mississauga is a legacy condo that has many characteristics of buildings built 50 years ago.

Despite the fact that there are very few amenities, and despite the lack of central air, there is very little turnover in this condo, due to its excellent location. The building is also very well maintained. The Elizabeth condo will appeal especially to people who love the small town, resort vibe of Port Credit.

Nature lovers will also love it, due to its close proximity to the Port Credit lakefront, marina, and nearby parks. 

15 Elizabeth Street North offers a pretty nice lifestyle with all the attractions of living in the heart of Port Credit. This is a decent building with a great location, and some basic amenities.

Although the maintenance fees are higher than other more recent properties, they do include hydro. The Elizabeth condo could be a good fit for the right person.
