Erin Meadows Community Centre Mississauga was an innovative project when it was first built, in that it was the first joint multi-use development by the City of Mississauga, the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board, and the Mississauga Library Board.
The complex combines a community centre, a Catholic high school, as well as a public library in a single structure. The three components are: the Erin Meadows Community Centre, St. Aloysius Gonzaga Catholic Secondary School, and the Erin Meadows Library.
It was officially opened on Sept 15, 2001, and recently underwent some renovations, mostly to the exterior, in 2024.
Architects for the original development were Makrimichalos Cugini Architects Inc. (MC Architects Inc.) in partnership with Perkins & Will, both of Toronto.
The combined complex is a large one, with the three components totaling approximately 280,000 square feet of space.
