CityGate Condominium is a high-rise residential condo in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The tower is located in the Mississauga City Centre district, and was built and registered by Toronto builder Davies-Smith Developments.

Davies-Smith completed this first phase of the CityGate towers development in 2005, and followed it with another tower called CityGate II, located at 220 Burnhamthorpe Rd. W.
A third tower was completed, named Solstice at 225 Webb Drive, and finally the fourth and final tower was built, and it is named Onyx at 223 Webb Drive.
The first CityGate tower was designed by Roland Rom Colthoff of Quadrangle Architects, and when it first came on the market, it was honoured with several industry awards for design excellence, including Project of the Year by the Greater Toronto Home Builder’s Association in 2003.

Shopping
Square One Shopping Centre, a major commercial mall that is Ontario’s largest, is located a few blocks to the northeast of the condo.
The mall has more than 360 stores, restaurants, bars, and services, and is a 2 minute drive, or a 9 minute walk away, with the southwest entrance to the mall (Holt Renfrew) being nearest.
In addition to the shopping available at the Square One Shopping Centre, there are quite a few additional options available nearby.
There is a substantial mall at the Parkways West Shopping Centre at 325 Central Parkway West, including retail stores, restaurants, a supermarket, florists, and doctor’s offices.
You will find another shopping area at the Rio Can Grand Park commercial centre at Grand Park Drive, with a Staples store, a Shoppers Drug Mart, a Winners store, and several restaurants.
Plus there are dozens of stores, restaurants, and coffee shops in many of the nearby condos that surround Square One, including several in the podium of this building.
Entertainment
In addition to all the shopping possibilities, there are a lot of attractions here at the heart of the Mississauga City Centre that are within walking distance:

The central Mississauga MiWay Transit and GO bus terminal is within walking distance. This is the central transit hub for the city of Mississauga.
The terminal will soon add a major new enhancement when the Hurontario LRT (Hazel McCallion LRT) adds a stop there in 2026.
For commuters, this luxury condo is also a short driving distance to the Cooksville GO station, and Ontario Highway 403 is easily accessible via either Mavis Road or Hurontario St.

The Mississauga Hospital (formerly known as Trillium Hospital) houses the largest concentration of critical care services in Canada, with modern facilities that are currently undergoing a major expansion.
Nearby Grocery Stores
You will find a fairly large assortment of grocery stores in the immediate area, such as the Whole Foods Market located on the north side of the mall.
Also close by are Food Basics and Metro supermarkets, plus the full grocery located in Walmart at Square One.
There are two asian grocery stores in the neighbourhood: T&T and Yuan Ming.
There is also a Mr. India grocery nearby.
In addition to all these options, there is also a 24 hour food market located next door at Solstice condo. Additional retail and offices are also located next door at Solstice.
Parks and Recreation
CityGate I is blessed with close access to several city parks.
One of the best is Kariya Park, which was originally gifted to Mississauga by the city of Kariya, Japan.
This excellent city park, with its serene Japanese gardens, is only a couple of minutes walk away. Due to the beauty of its formal Japanese gardens, it is often the setting for wedding pictures.
In addition to the Kariya Park, nearby Mississauga Valley Park, which is about a 10 minute walk away, features baseball and soccer fields, extensive BBQ areas, forested creek with plenty of wildfowl, and water splash pads for children.
There is also major parkland facilities at nearby Zonta Meadows, as well as a new city park in the area directly west of Square One.
On the north side of CityGate there is a nicely landscaped area that winds along Burnhamthorpe Rd., with benches, artwork, a winding scenic path, and extensive landscaping.
