700 Constellation Drive Mississauga
Constellation Place Condominium is a highrise condo located at 700 Constellation Drive in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Contents

Built and completed in 1990. the Constellation Place condo was originally launched as a high-end building, and it has maintained a good reputation throughout the past thirty-five years.
Constellation Place is a bit of an outlier from the main condo clusters in Mississauga. While it is technically in the Hurontario district, it is located at its far western edge at the northeast corner of Mavis Road and Eglinton Ave W.
It’s far enough away from the 70+ highrise condos in the Mississauga City Centre, but also a fair distance from the cluster of condos built and under construction i.e. “Uptown Community” at Hurontario and Eglinton.
Constellation Place fronts onto Eglinton Ave W, just a few blocks north of the vast shopping attractions of Square One Shopping Centre. It’s about midway between Square One and the equally impressive shopping attractions of Heartland Town Centre, another prominent commercial area in Mississauga.
700 Constellation Dr consists of a single 19 storey tower with a mix of two and two bedroom plus den apartments.
Municipal address for Constellation Place Condominium is 700 Constellation Drive, Mississauga, Ontario L5R 3G8.
The Constellation Place building is part of an earlier wave of luxury condos in Mississauga that were built in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s.
Pros and Cons
First, the good news. 700 Constellation Dr is old school. Condo apartments here are very large when compared to today’s more recent projects. For example, most 2 bedroom units are between 1000 and 1200 square feet, which is quite a premium over today’s typical units. That’s a big plus.
There are only a handful of minor negatives pertaining to this condo. First, as mentioned above, it’s a bit removed from most of the other condos in downtown Mississauga and the Hurontario District.
Secondly, there are no one bedroom units here, only larger two bedroom and two bedroom plus dens. If you are looking for a small unit to live or invest in, this building may not be a perfect fit.
Finally, maintenance fees are slightly above average for the Hurontario district, although they do include both hydro and cable TV.
Before we take a deep dive into the building itself, let’s take a look at the area.
Mississauga Attractions
Shopping
The Constellation Place condo is directly across the street from a shopping plaza at 620 Eglinton Ave W that includes a grocery, a pharmacy, a bank, restaurants, coffee shops, offices, and stores.
There is a full size NoFrills supermarket in the plaza. In addition, here you will find a McDonalds, a pizza place, a Baskin Robbins, additional stores, as well as an automobile service station.
In addition to this plaza, Square One Shopping Centre, Ontario’s largest mall, is just a 7 minute drive away. Two north entrances to the mall (The Food District and Simons) are the closest.
Square One has more than 360 stores, restaurants, bars, and services.
Entertainment
In addition to all the shopping possibilities, once you cross over to the City Centre area, there are a lot of attractions here at the heart of the Mississauga City Centre for anyone to enjoy.
- Celebration Square Mississauga with its vibrant slate of community events, fountains, and skating rink in winter
- Living Arts Centre Mississauga
- Mississauga Art Gallery
- Mississauga City Hall
- Hazel McCallion Central Library
- the central YMCA
- Sheridan College
The nearest cinemas are the Cineplex Cinemas at Rathburn Road and Living Arts Drive.
Transit
While there is frequent bus service along both Mavis Rd and Eglinton Ave W, 700 Constellation Dr is less connected to transit infrastructure than many of the other condos in central Mississauga.
The central Mississauga MiWay Transit and GO bus terminal is reachable by car or bus. It is located at the north side of the Square One mall. This is the central transit hub for the city of Mississauga.
Here you will find direct MiWay bus service to points across the city, as well as direct service to the Kipling subway station in Etobicoke.
GO Transit bus service extends from here to downtown Toronto, and to many other points including Toronto Pearson International Airport, Hamilton, and even Scarborough.
The transit terminal will soon add a major new enhancement when the Hurontario LRT (Hazel McCallion LRT) adds a stop there in 2026. This will provide direct light rail service from Port Credit north to the centre of Brampton.
While the LRT will undoubtedly create a major metamorphosis in the transit infrastructure of Mississauga, its route along Hurontario St. is too far from Constellation Place to be walkable.
The nearest heavy rail commuter station is the Erindale GO Station.
Commuters living at the Constellation condo also have easy access to both Ontario Highway 403, and Highway 401. Both highways are close by, and are easily accessible via Mavis Rd.
Schools
There are several elementary schools serving the area, including:
- Champlain Trail Public School (PK-5) at 895 Ceremonial Dr, Mississauga
- Fairwind Senior Public School (6-8) at 5235 Fairwind Dr, Mississauga
- St. Valentine Catholic Elementary School (PK-8) at 5610 Heatherleigh Ave, Mississauga
In addition, 700 Constellation Dr is in the catchment area of two public and catholic high schools: Rick Hansen Secondary School and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary School.
Post-secondary Education
Mississauga has several excellent post-secondary schools, including:
Sheridan College
Sheridan College has a large campus at Square One. Over 6700 students attend classes in over 100 classrooms and labs.
University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM)
The University of Toronto Mississauga campus (UTM) has over 15,000 graduate and undergraduate students. It’s located in a wooded setting near Mississauga Road and The Collegeway, and is about a 14 minute drive from 700 Constellation Drive.
Hospital
The nearest hospital is the Credit Valley Hospital. It is located at 2200 Eglinton Ave W., near Eglinton Ave W. and Erin Mills Pkwy, which is about a 12 minute drive away.
Credit Valley Hospital is a leader in programs for clinical genetics, renal, maternal-child care and oncology, as well as core clinical programs in general medicine, surgery, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and cardiac services.
Nearby Grocery Stores
There is a good selection of supermarkets in the area.
As mentioned above, there is a major grocery store named NoFrills, which is right across the street on Eglinton Ave W.
In addition, there is a very popular supermarket called Adonis at Eglinton Ave W and Creditview Rd that features Mediterranean and middle eastern foods.
There is also an excellent major grocery store named Oceans Fresh Food Market, which is near the corner of Eglinton Ave W and Hurontario St. Oceans is a vast Chinese-themed supermarket that also has a full selection of western goods. It’s extremely popular with locals and visitors alike.
Going north on Hurontario St. you will find Highland Farms, which is another vast and popular supermarket that has discount prices.
There is also a Whole Foods Market located on the north side of the Square One mall.
Also close by are Loblaws, Food Basics and Metro supermarkets, plus the full grocery located in Walmart at Square One.
Parks and Recreation
Despite being just minutes away from the bustling city centre of Mississauga, residents and their guests at Constellation Place condos are lucky to have close access to one of the best parks in Mississauga. Kariya Park, which was originally a gift to the city of Mississauga from the city of Kariya, Japan.
This excellent city park, with its serene Japanese gardens, is often the setting for wedding pictures for newlywed couples.
The park has winding trails, ponds, wooden bridges, sculptures, a pagoda-style pavilion, and much more. It’s about a 12 minute drive from the condo.
There are several neighbourhood parks nearby, including Ceremonial Green Park, which is a 6 minute walk away, Madill Common Park and Sandford Farm Park, which are each about an 8 minute walk from the condo, as well as Century City Park, which is a 9 minute walk.
All four have playgrounds and sports fields, and Century City Park has tennis courts, a baseball diamond, and a basketball court.
There are over 70 highrise condos in the city centre, as well as over 20 in the Hurontario area. Consequently, all the parks are extremely popular, and they are usually very busy during the warmer months.
