St. Francis Xavier Secondary School is a highly rated Catholic high school situated in north central Mississauga, offering schooling for grades 9-12. There are currently 1862 students registered at this well regarded and well known facility. As with most Catholic high schools, students are required to wear uniforms while attending classes.
St. Francis Xavier was founded in 1990, and it is considered one of the top high schools in the Greater Toronto Area. The school offers a wide assortment of academic courses for students in grades 9-12. A wide variety of enrichment programs are offered, such as Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs for Hospitality & Tourism, Transportation, and Health and Wellness. The school also offers an Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) for skilled trades. This high school is also a full member of the worldwide International Baccalaureate (IB) program. The Region of Peel provides an onsite early learning and childcare facility within the school via a licensed daycare for infants, toddlers, and preschool children.

St. Francis Xavier offers an assortment of modern and spacious classrooms and work spaces for students. The school also features numerous drama and art rooms, various areas for its highly regarded music department, a large gymnasium, a fitness centre, plus athletic fields and computer study areas.
St. Francis Xavier has many sports teams and clubs, including the following: badminton, baseball, basketball, cricket, curling, football, golf, rugby, soccer, softball, swimming, table tennis, tennis, track & field, volleyball, and wrestling. The school is especially well regarded for its basketball teams
