2091 Hurontario St Mississauga
The Courtney Club Condominium is a highrise condo located at 2091 Hurontario St in the Cooksville area of Mississauga, Ontario.
Contents

The building was built and completed in 1989, and is one of the original condos to be built in Mississauga. 2091 Hurontario St consists of a single 12 storey tower with a mix of one, two, and three bedroom apartments.
Municipal address for The Courtney Club Condominium is 2091 Hurontario St, Mississauga, Ontario L5A 4E6. The closest major intersection is Hurontario St. and the QEW Highway.
Although it is located in the Cooksville district, which is an area slightly to the south of Mississauga City Centre (MCC), Courtney Club is surrounded by plenty of retail and commercial options, and is just a few minutes away from all that MCC has to offer.
Pros and Cons
There are a few features to note here. First, 2091 Hurontario Street benefits from the era when it was built. Condo apartments here are quite large when compared to today’s more recent projects.
For example, most 2 bedroom units are between 900 and 1200 square feet, which is quite a premium over today’s typical units. That’s a win.
Secondly, the proximity to the Queen Elizabeth highway (QEW) is a huge plus for many commuters.
Third, while the maintenance fees are a little higher than average for the area, they do include hydro.
On the other hand, 2091 Hurontario St was built during a time when balconies were banned in Mississauga. As a consequence, there are no balconies in this building.
Before we take a deep dive into the building itself, let’s take a look at the area.
Mississauga Attractions
Shopping
The Courtney Club condo is at the southern tip of Cooksville, which provides an abundance of independent shops and services. You will find plenty of restaurants, pharmacies, offices, retail stores, and coffee shops, including a Starbucks directly across the street.
In addition, Square One Shopping Centre, Ontario’s largest mall, is just a 10 minute drive away. The southeast entrance to the mall (Walmart) is the closest.
Square One has more than 360 stores, restaurants, bars, and services.
Entertainment
There is a great variety of entertainment venues once you cross over to the City Centre area. Here’s just a few places that anyone can enjoy.
- Mississauga Celebration Square with its vibrant slate of community events, fountains, and skating rink in winter
- Mississauga Living Arts Centre
- Art Gallery of Mississauga (AGM)
- Mississauga Civic Centre (City Hall)
- Hazel McCallion Central Library
- the central YMCA
The closest cinemas are the Cineplex Cinemas at Rathburn Road and Living Arts Drive.
Transit
The Courtney Club condo is located equidistant between two heavy rail commuter stations. It’s about a 7 minute drive to the Cooksville GO Station, and it’s also a 7 minute drive to the Port Credit GO Station.
Both train stations provide direct access to Union Station in downtown Toronto, while the Cooksville line runs northwest to Milton, and the Port Credit Lakeshore Line runs westward to Hamilton.
The Cooksville GO Station recently underwent a major expansion of its free parking facility.
LRT
The area is expected to get even greater access to transportation options in the next few years with the construction of the Hurontario light rail transit (LRT) project, which will be called the Hazel McCallion (Hurontario) LRT, to commemorate the former Mississauga mayor.
The Hazel McCallion LRT is a streetcar line that will have 19 stops starting from Port Credit in the south, up through Cooksville, continuing up to Square One Shopping Centre, and then proceeding to the Brampton Gateway Terminal. There will be four stops in Cooksville, including one at North Service Road & Hurontario St., and one at the Cooksville GO Station.
The LRT will also provide further connectivity to the main transportation hub in the City of Mississauga, which is the central Mississauga MiWay Transit and GO bus terminal. This terminal is located at the north side of the Square One mall.
Here you will find direct MiWay bus service to points across the city, as well as direct express bus service to the Kipling subway station in Etobicoke.
Furthermore, GO Transit bus service extends from here to downtown Toronto, and to many other points including Toronto Pearson International Airport, Hamilton, and even Scarborough.
Residents at the Courtney Club condo who commute by car have immediate access to the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) highway. The on ramp to the QEW is virtually next door to 2091 Hurontario St.

- Camilla Road Senior Public School (6-8) at 201 Cherry Post Dr, Mississauga

In addition, there are also public and catholic high schools nearby: Cawthra Park Secondary School and St. Martin Secondary School.
Post-secondary Education
Mississauga has several excellent post-secondary schools, including:
Sheridan College
Sheridan College has a large campus at Square One. Over 6700 students attend classes in over 100 classrooms and labs.
University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM)
The University of Toronto Mississauga campus (UTM) has over 15,000 graduate and undergraduate students. It’s located in a wooded setting near Mississauga Road and The Collegeway, and is about a 15 minute drive from 2091 Hurontario St.
Hospital
The nearest hospital is the Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital. It is located at 100 Queensway W., near Hurontario and Queensway, which is about a 3 minute drive, or a 4 minute walk away.
The Mississauga Hospital (formerly known as Trillium Hospital) houses the largest concentration of critical care services in Canada, with modern facilities that are currently undergoing a major expansion.
Nearby Grocery Stores
There are several supermarkets in the area.
There is a Rabba Fine Foods 24 Hr grocery directly across the street from the condo.
You will also find both a Food Basics and also a FreshCo nearby at the corner of King St. and Hurontario St. These are about a 5 minute drive from the condo. There is also an interesting new middle eastern themed grocery named Alnejmah Fine Foods, located at the corner of Hillcrest Ave. and Hurontario St.
There are numerous other supermarkets in the area, including a Metro on Central Parkway East, a Loblaws Superstore at Mavis Rd. and Dundas St., and a Whole Foods Market located on the north side of the Square One mall.
Finally, there is a full grocery located in Walmart at Square One.
Parks and Recreation
Mississauga Valley Park is located just north of the Cooksville area. It is a beautiful park with winding footpaths along the forested Cooksville Creek, as well as open areas for soccer and baseball, bocce ball courts, BBQ areas, a children’s playground with a splash pad, as well as access to the Mississauga Valley Community Centre.
Brickyard Park is a sports-focused park in Cooksville that has baseball and softball diamonds, and a soccer field. All the facilities here are fenced and feature night lighting. It’s very popular with amateur sports leagues.
In addition, there are several neighbourhood parks nearby, including Cooksville Park, which is a 3 minute drive or a 20 minute walk from the condo, and Camilla Park which is a 6 minute walk away. Both have children’s playground areas.
One thing to keep in mind: there are over 70 highrise condos in the city centre, as well as about 14 in the Cooksville area. Consequently, all Mississauga parks are extremely popular, and they are usually very busy during the warmer months.
