25 Trailwood Dr Mississauga
Trailwood Place Condos West Tower is one half of a two tower high-rise condo complex located at 25 and 35 Trailwood Dr in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Contents

Built and completed in 1990, 25 Trailwood Drive is the westernmost of the two towers.
It consists of a single 24 storey tower that contains, exclusively, two bedroom apartments.
25 Trailwood Dr, along with its sister tower at 35 Trailwood Dr, is administered by a single condo corporation, and they share mutual amenities, including the underground parking garage.
Municipal address for the west Trailwood Place condominium is 25 Trailwood Drive, Mississauga, Ontario L4Z 3K9.
The closest main intersection is Hurontario St. and Bristol Rd.
Although it is located in the Hurontario district, which is an area slightly to the north of Mississauga City Centre (MCC), 25 Trailwood Drive is surrounded by plenty of retail and commercial options, and it is just minutes away from all that MCC has to offer.
Pros and Cons
First, the good news. 25 Trailwood Dr has an excellent central location. It’s very convenient for shopping, schools, and commuting, both by car and by public transit.
Public transit will improve even more with the addition of the new Hurontario LRT (Hazel McCallion LRT), which is scheduled to open in late 2025, or early 2026. The LRT will have a stop just a few minutes walk from the front door. See my full review of the LRT here.
Another big plus is that this condo was built during a time when larger square footages were the norm. The average apartment size here is much bigger than newer builds in Mississauga.
On the flip side, there are a couple of negatives to note.
First, this tower (and its sister tower at 35 Trailwood Dr) has only 2 bedroom apartments. There are no smaller 1 bedroom units, so if you are looking for a small condo to live or invest in, this may not be for you.
Secondly, 25 Trailwood Dr has no balconies. If having a balcony is important to you, you won’t find them here.
Third, maintenance fees are higher than the average in the Hurontario district, although they do include hydro (electricity).
Before we take a deep dive into the building itself, let’s take a look at the area.
Mississauga Attractions
Shopping
25 Trailwood Dr is surrounded by plenty of shopping options. Just north of the condo is the RioCan Bristol shopping plaza at Bristol Rd and Hurontario St. It has many commercial outlets including a McDonald’s, a bank, a pharmacy, a UPS store, a pizza place, and a large Value Village store.
Heading southward you will find another shopping plaza that includes restaurants, coffee shops, a Service Ontario outlet, an LCBO, plus other offices and stores.
In addition, there is a major mall on the south side of Eglinton Ave. that includes a large supermarket named Oceans Fresh Food Market, multiple coffee shops and restaurants, a Toys ‘R’ Us, and many other retail establishments.
Finally, Square One Shopping Centre, Ontario’s largest mall, is just a 5 minute drive away. The two north entrances to the mall (Walmart and Simons) are the closest.
Square One has more than 360 stores, restaurants, bars, and services.
Entertainment
In addition to all the shopping possibilities, once you cross over to the City Centre area, there are a lot of attractions for anyone to enjoy at the heart of the Mississauga City Centre:
- Celebration Square Mississauga with its vibrant slate of community events, fountains, and skating rink in winter
- Living Arts Centre Mississauga
- Mississauga Art Gallery
- Mississauga Civic Centre (City Hall)
- the Hazel McCallion Central Library
- the central YMCA
- Sheridan College
The closest cinemas are the Cineplex Cinemas at Rathburn Road and Living Arts Drive.
Transit
The central Mississauga MiWay Transit and GO bus terminal is located in the City Centre at the north side of the Square One mall. This is the central transit hub for the city of Mississauga.
Here you will find direct MiWay bus service to points across the city, as well as direct service to the Kipling subway station in Etobicoke.
Furthermore, GO Transit bus service extends from the terminal to downtown Toronto, and to many other points including Toronto Pearson International Airport, Hamilton, and even Scarborough.
The transit terminal will soon add a major new addition when the Hazel McCallion LRT adds a stop there in 2026. This will provide direct light rail service starting from Port Credit north to the centre of Brampton.
The LRT is replacing several bus routes that currently run north-south along Hurontario St., and it will have stops at both Eglinton Ave. and at Bristol Rd. The Bristol Rd stop will be about a seven minute walk from 25 Trailwood Dr.
Going southwards, the LRT will continue past Square One to the Cooksville GO station. This connection provides additional connectivity to downtown Toronto via the GO Train.
Automobile commuters living at the Trailwood Place condo also have easy access to Ontario Highway 403, Highway 401, and Highway 407 (toll road). All three highways are close by, and are accessible via Hurontario St.
Schools
There are several elementary schools serving the area, including:
- Barondale Public School (PK-5) at 200 Barondale Dr, Mississauga
- Bristol Road Middle School (6-8) at 210 Bristol Rd E, Mississauga
- St. Jude Catholic School (PK-8) at 175 Nahani Way, Mississauga
In addition, there are also public and catholic high schools nearby: Applewood Heights Secondary School and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary School.
Post-secondary Education
Mississauga has several excellent post-secondary schools, including:
Sheridan College
Sheridan College has a large campus at Square One. Over 6700 students attend classes in over 100 classrooms and labs.
University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM)
The University of Toronto Mississauga campus (UTM) has over 15,000 graduate and undergraduate students. It’s located in a wooded setting near Mississauga Road and The Collegeway, and is about a 14 minute drive from 25 Trailwood Dr.
Hospital
The nearest hospital is the Mississauga Hospital. It is located at 100 Queensway W., near Hurontario and the QEW, which is about a 12 minute drive away.
The Mississauga Hospital (formerly known as Trillium Hospital) houses the largest concentration of critical care services in Canada, with modern facilities that are currently undergoing a major expansion.
Nearby Grocery Stores
There is an abundance of supermarkets in the area.
As mentioned above, there is a major grocery store named Oceans Fresh Food Market, which is a two minute drive away. Oceans is a vast Chinese-themed supermarket that also has a full selection of western goods. It’s extremely popular with locals and visitors alike.
A few minutes north on Hurontario St. you will find Highland Farms, which is another vast and popular supermarket that has discount prices.
There is also a Whole Foods Market located on the north side of the Square One mall.
Also close by are Food Basics and Metro supermarkets, plus a full grocery located in Walmart at Square One.
Parks and Recreation
Despite it being just minutes away from the bustling city centre of Mississauga, residents and their guests at 25 Trailwood Drive are lucky to have close access to Kariya Park. Kariya Park features beautiful landscaped Japanese gardens in a park setting. It was originally a gift to the city of Mississauga from the city of Kariya, Japan.
The serene gardens here are a popular spot for wedding pictures.
The park has winding trails, ponds, wooden bridges, sculptures, a pagoda-style pavilion, and much more.
There are also several neighbourhood parks nearby, including Barondale Green Park, which is an 8 minute walk away, and Sandalwood Park, which is a 10 minute walk from the condo. Both have playgrounds and sports fields, and Barondale Green Park additionally has a baseball diamond and tennis courts.
25 Trailwood Drive is also a 10 minute walk to the McKechnie Woods Park and the Frank McKechnie Community Centre. This is a major community hub that offers:
- 1 Playground
- 2 Indoor Swimming Pools
- 4 Tennis/Pickleball Courts
- 3 Outdoor Basketball Nets
- 2 Splash Pads
- 1 Walking Trail
- 1 Fitness/Weight Room
- 1 Gym
One thing to note: there are over 70 highrise condos in the city centre, as well as over 20 in the Hurontario area. Consequently, all Mississauga parks and community centres are extremely popular, and they are usually very busy during the warmer months.
