
Malton Community Centre
Malton Community Centre is a public recreational facility in Mississauga, Ontario. It provides extensive indoor amenities including swimming pools, a fitness centre, a gym, meeting rooms, and a public library, plus outdoor amenities including basketball nets, and a children’s playground.

Malton Community Centre and Library first opened on February 5, 1977. At that point it served primarily as a public library, but the facility was enlarged in 2004 when a gym and community space were added, and then again in 2011, when two swimming pools were added.
Architects for the additions were Diamond Schmitt Architects in 2004, and MJMA in 2011. Today’s renovated building has been designed to meet Mississauga’s current standards for sustainability.
Indoor Facilities
Malton Community Centre serves both the Malton neighbourhood, as well as surrounding areas, and it includes an indoor aquatics centre, a fitness centre, a gymnasium, and a public library.
In addition, there are several multi-purpose rooms, including a large 150 seat auditorium, that are rentable for everything from company meetings to children’s birthday parties.
Arena
Although there is no indoor ice arena at Malton Community Centre, there is a popular indoor rink nearby at the Paul Coffey Arena.
Fitness Centre

The Malton fitness centre features personal training, cardio and conditioning equipment, plus an aerobic studio for group exercise classes.

The indoor swimming pool is a 25 metre, 4 lane rectangular pool. There is also a warm water therapeutic pool beside the main pool.
Male, female and family change rooms are equipped with day lockers.
Library

The Malton Library is a branch of the Mississauga Library System. It offers full public library services, including an active list of programs. Library hours are different than those of the community centre, so it’s wise to check ahead.

Outdoor Facilities
Malton Community Centre has several outdoor amenities. There are outdoor basketball nets, as well as a children’s playground complete with splash pad.
The outdoor amenities are free to use, without membership or drop-in fees.

Park and Nearby Amenities
Malton Community Centre backs onto a forested area known as Elmcreek Park. It has extensive walking trails and bicycle paths. The area of the park next to Malton CC is currently undergoing extensive redevelopment, and is in the process of adding a playground, beach volleyball courts, fitness stations, and a natural ice rink. Completion is expected for winter 2026.
The front of Malton CC is directly across the street from Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School.
How Do I Get to Malton Community Centre?
Malton Community Centre is in the Malton area of northeast Mississauga. It’s quite close to Toronto Pearson International Airport, and is about a 19 minute bus ride from Terminal 1.
The community centre is about a 4 minute walk to Westwood Square Mall. Westwood Square Mall is a fairly major shopping centre, that is well served by MiWay Mississauga Transit, Brampton Transit, and the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC).
For longer distance commuters, highways 427 and 407 are nearby.
Parking

Public Transportation
