There are currently approximately 1750 students registered at Mount Carmel CSS. It’s a member of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board.
As with most Catholic high schools, students here are required to wear uniforms while attending classes.
Mt. Carmel was founded in 1987, and it is considered one of the better high schools in Peel Region.
Special Programs
The school offers a wide assortment of academic courses, including a Core French program.
Dual Credit
Dual credit programs are ministry-approved programs that allow students, while they are still in secondary school, to take college or apprenticeship courses that count towards both the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and a postsecondary certificate, diploma, or degree, or an apprenticeship certification.
SHSM
A wide variety of enrichment programs are offered, such as a Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program for Information and Communications Technology.
OYAP
The school also offers an Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) for skilled trades.
