Our Lady of Mount Carmel Secondary School is a highly rated Catholic high school situated in northwest Mississauga, offering classroom instruction for students in grades 9-12.
There are currently approximately 1750 students registered at Mount Carmel.
As with most Catholic high schools, students here are required to wear uniforms while attending classes.
Mt. Carmel was founded in 1987, and it is considered one of the better high schools in Peel Region.
The school offers a wide assortment of academic courses, including a Core French program.
Dual credit programs are ministry-approved programs that allow students, while they are still in secondary school, to take college or apprenticeship courses that count towards both the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and a postsecondary certificate, diploma, or degree, or an apprenticeship certification.
A wide variety of enrichment programs are offered, such as a Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program for Information and Communications Technology.
The school also offers an Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) for skilled trades.

As a relatively recently constructed school, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel offers a good variety of modern classrooms and work areas for students.
The school also features numerous drama and art rooms, various areas for its music department, a large gymnasium, a weight room, athletic fields and computer study areas.

There is a large gymnasium located at the school, as well as extensive outdoor athletic facilities.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Secondary has a fairly large catchment area, serving northwest Mississauga with a northern boundary of the 401 Highway, south boundary roughly Brittania Rd west of Winston Churchill Blvd., then following Montevideo Rd. & Mississauga Rd north-eastward to form an eastern boundary, with its western boundary limits defined by Highway 407.
