Contents

Carmen Corbasson Community Centre first opened in 1972. It was originally named the Cawthra Twin Rinks.
The facility had a major expansion in 2000, and was renamed the Carmen Corbasson Community Centre in 2012, to honour a former Mississauga Ward 1 counsellor. The complex underwent another expansion over a three year period from 2022 – 2025, and had a soft opening on March 31, 2025. The official grand re-opening is scheduled for June 15, 2025.
The latest redevelopment increased the size of the building by 48,000 square feet, and today CCCC has approximately 138,000 square feet of recreational amenities.
Architects for the redevelopment were Diamond Schmitt Architects of Toronto. The building has been designed to meet Mississauga’s new Green Developments Standard for sustainability.
Carmen Corbasson Community Centre is located in a 1970’s classic suburban area of Mississauga, not far from the border with Toronto. It is next to an unspoiled forest known as Cawthra Park.
This facility serves both the Lakeview neighbourhood, as well as surrounding areas.
Arenas

The two ice rinks are named the Warren Marshall Arena and the Ron Searle Arena. They were part of the original sports complex when it opened in 1972.
The arenas were closed while the community centre was being renovated from 2022-2025, but have recently reopened.
They are home to the Lorne Park Wild and the Lorne Park Clarkson Hockey Association. The arenas also provide leisure and family skating sessions through their affiliation with the community centre. During summer months the arenas are used for ball hockey and other sports,
The rinks get their ice, and are open seasonally each year from late September to mid-March.
