Loyola, as it is known locally, was originally founded in 1982, and is considered one of the better Catholic high schools in Ontario. Like many Catholic schools, Loyola has a dress code, and students are required to wear a uniform.
Academic Programs
STEAM
STEAM is a specialized program in Halton Region that focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics. It enhances subject areas associated with the earlier STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), with the addition of an Arts related curriculum.
SHSM
The school offers a good assortment of academic courses for students. Special courses include Specialist High Skills Majors in:

Dual Credit

Loyola offers a full French Immersion program, as well as basic classroom instruction in Core French.
ESL
St. Ignatius of Loyola CSS provides extensive English as a Second Language (ESL) programs led by teachers with substantial experience working with students in ESL. It has the largest English Language Learner program of any school in the Halton Catholic District School Board.
OYAP
The school is also a participant in the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) for skilled trades.
