Craig Kielburger is a Canadian human rights activist and social entrepreneur. He was born on December 17, 1982 in Thornhill, Ontario.

Kielburger has championed human rights across the world, especially children’s rights. He has created and administered major charities, and is the author of numerous books,

International Baccalaureate IB
Craig Kielburger SS is a fully accredited member of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma program.
The International Baccalaureate is a worldwide network of schools that provide academically challenging instruction for student participants in grades 11 and12.
The Diploma Programme is a comprehensive two year curriculum that takes place in the last 2 years of high school (Grades 11 & 12). To be eligible for an IB Diploma, students must take a subject from six different Diploma areas of study, as well as complete three requirements of the DP core – the Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (ToK), and Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS).
In addition to CKSS, the IB Diploma Program is also offered at the following public high schools in Halton Region: Burlington Central High School in Burlington, Georgetown District High School in Georgetown, and White Oaks Secondary School in Oakville.
All four schools offer the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) for Grade 9 & 10 in preparation for the IB Diploma Program in Grade 11 & 12.

School and Nearby Amenities
For recreation, Craig Kielburger Secondary School has three gymnasiums, and a full assortment of track and field facilities.
The school is located next to the Milton Sports Dome, which is a full-sized artificial turf playing field that is covered seasonally by an air-supported dome. The facility is covered from October to April, and then open for outdoor use from May to September.
The Milton Sports Dome was created out of the school’s original track and field facilities, through a joint use agreement between Colab Sport Management and the Halton District School Board.
As for nearby commercial areas, there is a fairly large one at Louis St. Laurent Ave and Thompson Rd S, that features dozens of stores, services, and restaurants. It’s about a 12 minute walk from the school.
