International Baccalaureate

The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), more commonly known as the International Baccalaureate (IB), is a nonprofit foundation headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, and founded in 1968.

It offers four educational programmes: the IB Diploma Programme and the IB Career-related Programme for students aged 15 to 19, the IB Middle Years Programme for students aged 11 to 16, and the IB Primary Years Programme for children aged three to 12.

To teach these programmes, schools must be authorized by the International Baccalaureate.

IB schools in Mississauga include Glenforest Secondary School, Erindale Secondary School, St. Paul Catholic Secondary School, and St. Francis Xavier Secondary School.

IB schools in Brampton include Harold M. Brathwaite Secondary School, Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School, Turner Fenton Secondary School, and École secondaire Jeunes sans frontières (french instruction).

Khalsa Community School offers the IB MYP programme for younger students.

IB schools in Milton include Craig Kielburger Secondary School.
