Rick Hansen Secondary School was originally founded in 1999, and has expanded over the years. Today the school is rated one of the better public high schools in Ontario, and it offers a good assortment of academic courses.

Dual Credit
Dual Credit programs provide grade 11 and 12 students with the opportunity to earn both college and high school credits at the same time. College credits earned may be applied to a college program after high school, including colleges such as Centennial, George Brown, Humber, Seneca and Sheridan.
EHS
Explore High Skills (EHS) is a program for grade 9 and 10 students that serves as a precursor to the SHSM program. EHS provides students with an engaging pathway to sector-related programs.

Although RHSS was founded over 30 years ago, it offers a good assortment of modern classrooms and work spaces for students.
