The 14% jump in prices during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic shows the remarkable resilience of the real estate market in southern Ontario, and the Greater Toronto Area specifically. Not even a global pandemic was able to stop this market! Historic low interest rates have helped, of course, but I think it bears repeating that our local market is unbelievably robust. Over the past nine years, people who have purchased one of these popular Clarkson townhouses have more than doubled their money.

We believe that, in spite of worldwide events such as the Covid-19 pandemic, relatively affordable townhouses such as those on Bromsgrove Rd. will continue to be very popular.
Interest rates are not expected to rise in 2021, especially in the wake of the Covid-19 situation.
We expect that once the Covid-19 pandemic is over, immigration into Canada and the Greater Toronto Area will resume, adding another factor to market strength. The current Liberal government has indicated that they will admit huge numbers of new Canadians, in excess of 400,000 people per year, once we are back to normal. As long as the local economy is able to recover from the admitted hits it has taken due to the coronavirus, we believe the market will continue its upwards path.
