St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School is a well regarded catholic secondary school situated in a prestigious area of south Oakville, offering schooling for grades 9-12.
There are currently approximately 1600 students registered at this prominent high school, which is one of three large catholic secondary schools in Oakville administered by the Halton Catholic District School Board.
St. Thomas Aquinas was originally founded in 1990, on the site of a previous public high school, and today offers a wide assortment of academic courses for students,.
The school has a special focus on technology, providing training in subjects ranging from technological design to construction. STA offers a Dual Credits Automotive and Construction program in partnership with Mohawk College.
STA offers four separate Specialist High Skills Majors (SHSM) in the following areas:
