Streetsville Secondary School is a well regarded public high school situated in a historic area of northwest Mississauga, offering schooling for grades 9-12.
There are currently approximately 913 students registered at this popular and respected facility, and out of that number, approximately 483 students are participating in the school’s French Immersion program.
Streetsville Secondary was originally founded in 1959, and has gradually expanded as the population of the town of Streetsville and surrounding area has grown. Today the school is rated one of the better public high schools in Ontario, and SVSS offers a wide assortment of academic courses for students.
Streetsville SS is noted for its Core French instruction, as well as for its significant French Immersion program.

Streetsville offers a good assortment of modern classrooms and work spaces for students. The school also features numerous drama and art rooms, music areas, a library, two gymnasiums, a fitness centre, a photography studio complete with darkroom, plus athletic fields and computer study areas. There is a large assortment of extra-curricular clubs at the school, including ones for film, drama, art, photography, digital media, and music.
SVSS is renowned for its sports teams, and offers a wide assortment of athletic opportunities for students, including:

For recreation, Streetsville Secondary School has two gymnasiums, and a full assortment of track and field facilities. The school is located in the heart of Streetsville, and as a result, offers close access to shopping and dining options that are to be found along Queen St. The school is also located within walking distance of the Streetsville GO Station.

SVSS has a somewhat irregular boundary area extending from the 401 Highway in the north, to the 403 Highway to the south, from Erin Mills Parkway in the west, and to a line roughly parallel to Creditview Road in the east.
