Port Credit Secondary School is a highly rated secondary school situated in south central Mississauga, offering schooling for grades 9-12. There are currently 1336 students registered at this storied and historic facility.
Port Credit Secondary recently celebrated its 100th birthday, as it was originally founded in 1919. The current building dates from 1963, and today the school is rated one of the better public high schools in Ontario. PCSS offers a wide assortment of academic courses for students in grades 9-12. Port Credit offers two enrichment programs through the Regional Learning Choices Program (RLCP), including one for Sci-tech that is renowned for its robotics, and one for Strings, that provides students with the opportunity to study a stringed instrument. It also offers two Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs, one for Justice Community Safety & Emergency Services, and one for Manufacturing. The school is also a participant in the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) for skilled trades.
