Mississauga Secondary School is a newer public high school situated at the extreme northern edge of Mississauga, offering schooling for grades 9-12.
There are currently approximately 1105 students registered at this popular and growing facility. Enrollment by grade is currently as follows:
Mississauga Secondary was originally founded in 2005, and has gradually expanded as the population of north Mississauga and the surrounding area has grown. Today the school is rated one of the better public high schools in Ontario. Mississauga SS offers a wide assortment of academic courses for students.
The school provides Core French instruction, as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) courses. Elementary feeder schools include:

Mississauga Secondary School offers an EHS (Explore High Skills) program, as well as a Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program in Health and Wellness.
The Health and Wellness SHSM courses provide students with a good foundation for future careers such as kinesiologist, child care worker, audiologist, fitness instructor, doctor, nurse, physiotherapist, youth care worker, hospital porter, and medical technician.
The school is also a participant in the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) for skilled trades.

For recreation, Mississauga Secondary School has a large gymnasium, and a full assortment of track and field facilities. The school is located in a newer residential area of the city,, and as a result, there are few shopping and dining options nearby. The 401 and 407 highways provide easy access for commuters.

MSS has a large catchment area extending from the 407 Highway in the north, with one section actually incorporating an area within the City of Brampton, to Britannia Road in the south, from Mississauga Road in the west, to Hurontario Street in the east.
