About Lorne Park Real Estate
The homes of Lorne Park are some of the most sought after real estate in Mississauga, and indeed in all of southern Ontario. From the very beginnings of the city as we know it today, Lorne Park has always been synonymous with upscale properties for those who could afford it. With a vast expanse of expensive homes stretching from Southdown Road in the west, to Mississauga Road in the east, with the QEW highway marking its northern boundary, and Lake Ontario to the south, Lorne Park features an array of luxury homes for sale to suit any lifestyle. Originally a collection of semi-rural homes nestled between the villages of Port Credit and Clarkson, Lorne Park has a long history, and it has evolved into what many believe today is the biggest and best area for luxury homes in Mississauga. Here you can find listings with everything from original bungalows on massive, forested lots, to monster luxury estates with impressive numbers of bathrooms and bedrooms; everything from luxury condos to the lakefront homes on private roadways of Lorne Park Estates. Lorne Park offers a wealth of privacy, parks, and tree covered streets, and it is augmented by charming boutique shopping areas, and highly rated schools.

Schools are indeed an important consideration when you are planning a move. One of the other important consideration is the price of homes in the area you want. While Lorne Park real estate isn’t particularly inexpensive, the lifestyle that you and your family will enjoy living here makes it a bargain. So now let’s have a look at recent real estate prices….
As one of the top areas of expensive homes in Mississauga, Lorne Park enjoys a large amount of MLS resale activity, reflecting a high amount of both local and international interest in this sought after neighbourhood. The Toronto Real Estate Board 2018 MLS numbers are in, and there were 147 firm sales reported of detached houses here throughout the year, a decrease from 174 in 2017. Of the 147 firm sales, all but 13 were over the $1 million dollar mark, and the market has remained fairly steady, in spite of headwinds created by various levels of government to cool the market. As a realtor working this area, I have compiled the top 20 sales in Lorne Park, from Jan 1, 2018 to Dec 31, 2018:
