Mississauga Valley Park is directly behind the complex. There is a scenic ravine that follows the Cooksville Creek, with plenty of waterfowl and wildlife to see. The ravine leads to an open area with baseball diamonds, a soccer field, bocce ball courts, beach volleyball courts, and splash pads for children. This is one of the best urban parks in the city.
Kariya Park, which is a lovely Japanese themed park with a pond, wooden walkways, a temple-like structure with a bronze cast bell, and plenty of wildlife, is about a 12 minute walk away.
Zonta Meadows Park, which is on the north side of Burnhamthorpe Rd., is a 5 minute drive away. This excellent city park has winding walkways, and features children’s play areas, public tennis courts, and open fields which are great for soccer and other team sports.
