St Roch Catholic Secondary School Brampton

St. Roch Catholic Secondary School is a highly rated Catholic high school in the Credit Valley area of northwest Brampton, Ontario. It offers schooling for grades 9-12, and is a member of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board.

There are approximately 1500 students registered at St. Roch. As with most Catholic high schools, students here are required to wear uniforms while attending classes.

St. Roch Catholic S.S. was founded in 2009, and it is considered one of the better high schools in Peel Region.

Regional Arts Program

St. Roch is one of three Regional Arts schools in Peel Region that are administered by the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB). Fine arts courses are available in:

In order to participate in the Fine Arts programs, students are required to apply and audition before being accepted.

The school has a mix of fine arts students and regular high school students, and it offers a good selection of academic special courses as well.

SHSM

Academically, St. Roch CSS offers a Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) curriculum in Business.

Dual Credits

The Dual Credits (DC) Program is also offered. Dual Credits provides grade 11 and 12 students with an opportunity to earn both college and non-compulsory secondary credits at the same time.

Credits earned count towards a students’ Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), and towards a postsecondary certificate, diploma, degree, or a Certificate of Apprenticeship.

French Immersion

Although St. Roch does not offer a French Immersion program, students are able to take Core French here. The school also has an extensive offering of English as a Second Language (ESL) courses.

OYAP

The school also offers an Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) for skilled trades.
