Castlebrooke Secondary (CSS) was originally founded in 2012, and is noted for its high level of academic achievement. Today the school is rated as an excellent public high school, and it offers a wide assortment of courses for students.

Specialized Courses

Academically, CSS has a long list of specialized courses and programs.

Dual Credit Program

Dual Credit programs provide grade 11 and 12 students with an opportunity to earn both college and non-compulsory secondary credits at the same time.

College credits earned may be applied to a college program after high school.

Students can choose from more than 50 courses at colleges such as Centennial, George Brown, Humber, Seneca and Sheridan.

Explore High Skills

Explore High Skills (EHS) is a Peel District School Board pathway program for grade 9 and 10 students that is a precursor to the SHSM program.

School and Nearby Amenities

For recreation, Castlebrooke Secondary School has a large gymnasium, and a  full assortment of track and field facilities.

The school is located in a highly suburban area. Nevertheless, there is limited shopping and food offerings nearby, including a small commercial plaza directly across the street on The Gore Road.

The Gore Meadows Community Centre is about a 4 minute drive from the school. There you will find extensive recreational facilities, including a fitness centre, swimming pools, a gymnasium, an auditorium, snack bar, plus a branch of the Brampton Public Library. In winter, there is an outdoor ice rink that is available on a pay-per-use basis.
